John Constantine returns from Hell to take on Faust, and to contain the abilities of every magician in the world. But the real John Constantine has been trapped on the Thaumaton Wheel, so who was just in Hell? No one can breach the magical barrier surrounding him until Zatanna finally succeeds, knocking down the imposter Constantine. He explains that he would have sacrificed the world to save her, but will now do the opposite: sacrifice himself to save the world, channeling power back into Fausts' victims. The second Constantine steps forward to warn Zatanna, but the first one announces his love, then releases his stored power, dying. Pandora explains: the dead man is one of Constantine's inner demons. Created by Pandora's Box, it walked the world curious about love, and learned about it. And died of that.
