Kitty and Pete discover that the mutant serial killer they are trying to track down is actually a member of department F.66, the police squad that has been assisting them with the case; Pete's dad interferes in the rescue of Amanda Jardine and the confrontation with John Gideon and has his arm turned to stone for his troubles; Kitty and Pete have a final battle with their quarry on the London tube.
